Project Pipeline in the Eastern Economic Corridor of Thailand (4:30 p.m. to 4:55 p.m.)
The Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) in Thailand offers a multitude of PPP opportunities across various sectors. Theses encompass transformative projects such as high-speed rail networks, advanced manufacturing facilities, smart cities, renewable energy initiatives like solar and wind project and integrated tourism developments. By fostering collaboration between the public sector and private enterprises, EEC aims to pool investment and expertise, enabling the development, operation, and maintenance of crucial infrastructure and services with estimated in billions of Canadian dollars.

Trinidad and Tobago (5 p.m. to 5:25 p.m.)
The current economic landscape in Trinidad and Tobago presents a significant platform for international investors who are seeking to expand their business opportunities in the Caribbean region. In addressing the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and high inflation due to the global conflicts, the government of Trinidad and Tobago identified infrastructural development and more so, targeted PPP arrangements as one of the key drivers on its road to recovery. Over the next fiscal period 2024, $2,990.0 million is allocated to the Infrastructural Development Fund for programs and projects to be undertaken by government ministries and Special Purpose State Enterprises. Through the case studies presented today, UDeCOTT, a Special Purpose State Enterprise will explore the trends observed in the responses to our calls for partnerships with private investors and highlight the opportunities for potential international investors.
