Concert Infrastructure
Description
Next Generation Talent Sponsor
Concert Infrastructure an independent long-term investor, developer, and manager—was established to partner with governments to deliver critical public infrastructure assets that support essential public services that strengthen the economic and social fabric of Canadian communities and the well-being of Canadians. The company has been successful in forming strong strategic partnerships and securing solid investment opportunities for its union and management pension plan investors. Concert Infrastructure approaches each project with the intention of remaining a partner for the duration of the project, valuing long-term, stable returns for our ten Canadian union and management pension fund shareholders. Concert Infrastructure invests Canadian dollars in Canadian projects that span five provinces and territories. Over 80% of our facilities meet the LEED Gold or Silver sustainable building standard.
Backed by 10 Canadian union and management pension plans, Concert Infrastructure seeks out investment opportunities that will deliver steady, long-term value. With that goal in mind, Concert Infrastructure is not only involved in developing and building projects but continues to operate and manage the infrastructure assets for the long-term. This investment philosophy is reflected in the projects that Concert Infrastructure supports. Specifically, Concert Infrastructure focuses on public-private partnership (“P3”) projects – such as schools, public safety facilities, hospitals, airports, and other government buildings (Social Infrastructure). In addition to its Canadian P3 project investments, Concert Infrastructure has diversified through a co-investment strategy in the OMERS Infrastructure portfolio of large, operating, international infrastructure assets.
Concert Infrastructure is built on the foundation of Concert Real Estate Corporation, a Canadian-based success story for 34 years. As a separately governed company formed in 2010, Concert Infrastructure can draw on Concert Real Estate Corporation’s expertise and resources where required.
