Shift hours: Monday- friday 9:00 am- 5:00 pm (subject to change)
must be available to work on weekends of conference dates.

We offer a superior internship program that will allow you to apply your skills in such areas as onsite registration, delegate communications, database management, supplier research and event planning. You will get the chance to work on many different types of conference and events, and advance what you’ve learned in the classroom about event planning and management.

Duties

 
Pre-conference:
  • Update templates for our busy spring and fall season of conferences
  • Develop sponsorship ideas/packages for upcoming conferences
  • Research giveaways & promotional items for potential sponsored items
  • Research new event ideas including suppliers, venues, d├ęcor, entertainment
  • Event database management including data entry 
  • Cross check hotel lists, assist with menu selections
  • Attend to delegate inquiries by phone/email
  • Coordinate follow-up on evaluations on behalf of out clients
  • Print and co-ordinate delegate name badges, signage and other onsite requirements
  • Go onsite with the aNd team; assist with registration office setup, delegate registration and other related duties that make a successful conference and/or event.
Assist office manager with duties as required
Provide administrative support to the team.

QUALIFICATIONS


You must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary event management program. You are proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Access and have familiarity with Websites and E-Commerce (all of our registration sites are online, and many of our clients have website content for their conferences and events).
 
You are an exceptional multi-tasker with excellent data entry skills, a can-do attitude and excel in online researching.
 
Est-ce que vous parlez francais?  We deal with many bilingual clients and welcome interns who speak French.
