We welcome Alison Davidson and Lindsay Fleming to the aNd Logistix team!

A graduate of the Bachelor of Commerce, Hospitality and Tourism program at Ryerson University, Alison recently joined aNd Logistix.

Alison has spent the last 10 years in Meeting Planning Operations as a Senior Planner, Manager and Trip Director. Not only planning and executing events but, handling staff training for an Incentive House. Alison background includes 7 years as the Manager of a Meeting Planning Department where she was responsible for all meeting logistics and developing program content, targeting objectives and goal setting for Incentive Programs.

Lindsay graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University’s with a bachelor in Business Administration and went on to pursue her Chartered Accountant designation, obtained in 2007. Lindsay has four years of combined experience in audit, tax and transaction advisory.

That’s a quote from one of the attendees at this year’s Shoppers Drug Mart National Conference who summed up his reaction to the concert celebrating the best of Canadian Music Excellence. Choosing a variety of music genres that would still work together was the key to providing something that everyone would enjoy. The highlight of the event held at Place des Arts in Montreal was the finale when all the performers came back on stage for a special rendition of David Ushers number 1 hit - Black Black Heart. The surprises just kept coming and the guests were thrilled when these Canadian musical stars came out to sign autographs at the post concert dessert party.

aNd Logistix has 3 reasons to celebrate at this year’s Star Awards at the Canadian Event Industry 12th Annual Gala. We have been nominated under the following categories: Best Conference, Best Trade Show, and Best Entertainment Production.

The Canadian Event Industry Awards or the CEIA is a national award program that recognizes outstanding achievements in Canadian special events, meeting management, conference planning and exhibition management.

The four day bilingual conference offered delegates corporate information through general sessions, and educational opportunities through concurrent breakout workshops. Evening events, such as the Beach Welcome Reception, Paseo Princesa Party and Rainforest Finale, provided networking opportunities, along with many entertaining activities. Post-conference leisure programs highlighted various unique activities and attractions.

Outdoor Lunch at the Puerto Rico Convention Center - an escape to the sunshine was just want delegates needed in the middle of a Canadian Winter. This fountain featured a water display set to music.

A total of 150 exhibitors consisting of Ontario’s top scientists, investors, researchers, business leaders and entrepreneurs exchanged ideas and showcased their inventions at Canada’s largest innovation symposium

Building on the popular reality dance shows, the program highlighted several dance styles including Latin favorites like Salsa, Ballroom classics and fun Swing numbers.
